The closing plenary will review the key points of the 2014 CO2 Forum and consider ways in which the subject will develop in the near future. The research presented will be placed in the context of the global development of CDU technologies, particularly with respect to CCS and related technologies. The talk will also look at the Techno-Economics of CDU in the broader European context with reference to the existing SCOT project for which a workshop will follow on Friday afternoon.
Finally, the talk will present an exciting development for the next meeting of the CO2 Forum in 2016 and its collaboration with the International Conference on Carbon Dioxide Utilization (ICCDU). This will allow the Forum to reach a much wider audience on a global scale.
